New General Manager Joins Omni Hotel At CNN Center

Most recently serving as the director of operations at the Omni Hotel in Jacksonville, Fla., and previously as the director of operations at the Omni Hotel in Charlotte, N.C., Hunter brings more than four years of experience with the Omni brand.
“Jon will bring quality experience to our team, building on the hotel’s presence in Atlanta’s hospitality industry,” said Gary Froeba, regional vice president for the Omni Hotel at CNN Center.
Prior to joining Omni Hotels, Hunter was the vice president of privately held Ocean Resorts, where he oversaw the hospitality group’s sales and marketing, treasury and operational activities. Additionally, Hunter served as general manager of The Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach, Fla., the Holiday Inn in New Orleans, and at the Crowne Plaza Majestic in St. Louis.
“Downtown Atlanta has re-emerged at the city’s focal point, drawing even more business and leisure travelers,” Hunter said. “Omni Hotel at CNN Center’s place in the industry and in the Atlanta market drew me to the position, and I think I can add valuable insight from my past experience as the hotel continues to grow and mature with the market.”
Hunter, who has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Clemson University, resides in Atlanta with his wife and three children.
