John Deere Golf’s Magazine, The Approach, Is Re-Launched With Fresh New Look And Content
June 12, 2008
MacDUFF has re-launched John Deere Golf’s magazine The Approach, and also revamped the publication
in the process. The new version features exciting new content and a fresh design.
This first issue of the new and improved, The Approach, features a spread spotlighting John
Deere’s new 7400 TerrainCut Trim and Surrounds Mower. MacDUFF also interviews the minds behind the
machines for an inside look at the thought process behind the company’s newest products and the
technology that brings them to life. Also featured in this issue are pieces on the renovation of
TPC Scottsdale and a “Face Off” section in which two golf course superintendents, one from the U.S.
and one from a European course, discuss the challenges they face at their own course and reveal
techniques, strategies and ideas to help the community.
The Approach is published for John Deere by MacDUFF and will be used as a communication tool
in generating awareness and sales leads in the golf agronomy sector of their business. The magazine
will be mailed to over 10,000 golf course superintendents across the country.
“When we conducted our publisher search for the Approach, we went in with open eyes. We
wanted to find a partner whether in our industry or from the outside who understood our niche
business and didn’t need to have their hands held, yet also could do impactful design and
communication that would fit our brand. We feel we’ve found that partner in MacDUFF and look
forward to taking our magazine to the next level.” - Matt Armbrister, John Deere
Marketing Manager.
