North Point Hospitality Group Honored by Hilton Hotels Corporation
June 26, 2008
North Point Hospitality Group was recognized by the Hilton Hotels Corporation as a top developer
and received the Multi-Brand Developer of the Year award in Dallas, Texas at the recent Focused
Service Brand Owners' Conference. A prolific developer in the southeast region of the U. S.,
North Point Hospitality Group was approved to develop five hotels in 2007, including the Hampton
Inn & Suites Atlanta Midtown, the Hilton Garden Inn Nashville Vanderbilt, the Hilton Garden Inn
Atlanta Midtown, the Homewood Suites by Hilton Atlanta Midtown and the Homewood Suites by Hilton
Savannah Historical District.
"We are extremely pleased to present Jay Patel with the Multi-Brand Developer of the Year
Award," said Bill Fortier, senior vice president - franchise development, Hilton Hotels
Corporation. "The accolade represents our appreciation of his organization's exemplary commitment
to excellence in hotel development, from design to post-opening." North Point Hospitality Group was
recognized as the developer who had the greatest number of projects approved and/or who developed
one or more unique hotels that helped enhance the brand's image. To be considered, all hotels
in the candidates' Hilton Family portfolio had to be rated high-quality and in good status, and
could represent a combination of new projects, renovation and conversions. (The Midtown
Atlanta project will include a combination Hilton Garden Inn / Homewood Suits concept: two brands
under one roof built simultaneously and operated with shared amenities.)
"This award is a result of the commitment to excellence by each and every one of our team
members," said S. Jay Patel, president. "It is a reflection of their dedication to success."
