Leading Technology Analyst Micky Long Joins Arketi Group

Arketi Group, a high-tech business-to-business marketing and public relations firm, today announced
Micky Long, formerly lead industry analyst with Aberdeen Group's Strategic Service Management
practice, has joined the firm as vice president.
At Aberdeen, Long produced eight major research benchmark studies, conducted nearly 100
strategic briefings with software and technology vendors and was a lead speaker at numerous
industry conferences and webcasts. During his career, Long has also led business-to-business (B2B)
marketing efforts and helped deliver revenue and market share results for companies like IBM, Tech
Data, MAPICS, Siemens, Indus and more.

Prior to joining Aberdeen, Long was head of commercial marketing for Indus International, a
leading field service and asset management solution provider. At Indus, his lead generation and
market development efforts were responsible for generating more than $38 million in new sales
pipeline opportunities for Indus.
Prior to Indus, Long served as a senior member of marketing at MAPICS, a leading enterprise
software company. At MAPICS, Long engineered a brand turnaround that moved MAPICS brand position
from 37th position to 7th position within two years and built worldwide recognition and industry
credibility for the organization.
Long also held the role of vice president at an Atlanta public relations firm, where he
tripled the average size of the B2B technology client base and provided senior counsel to
organizations that included Navision Software, Employease, Caredata.com and Best Software.
Previously, Long led a team of 50 marketing professionals at Tech Data, designed and
implemented a multimillion dollar, 18-country marketing program to launch the IBM Global Network,
and was part of the initial team that drove Hayes from $12 to $170 million in two years.
Long holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Temple University.
