Fisher & Phillips’ Roger Quillen Re-elected Chairman

Roger Quillen has been re-elected Chairman of the Management Committee for the national labor and employment law firm Fisher & Phillips LLP. Mr. Quillen has served on the management committee since 1997 and has been the firm’s Chairman since 1999. He also serves as the firm’s Managing Partner.

Members of the management committee (the firm’s board of directors) are elected to three-year terms and the committee elects its chairman. Mr. Quillen said, “One of the hallmarks of Fisher & Phillips is stability of leadership. The members of our management committee are dedicated to continuing to grow Fisher & Phillips. As we expand our national footprint we also are dedicated to providing our clients with efficient, practical legal counsel in their labor and employment matters.”

Mr. Quillen’s practice involves litigation covering a wide range of employment discrimination issues, employee welfare benefit plans, the Railway Labor Act and issues arising before the National Labor Relations Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. His special emphasis is in federal appellate litigation. He has argued cases in most of the federal courts of appeals, with subject matter ranging from review of NLRB decisions to class action arising from changes in retiree health insurance plans. He also represents employers in collective bargaining and counsels them on strategies designed to prevent claims and lawsuits.

Mr. Quillen has received repeat recognition as a "Georgia Super Lawyer," a Georgia "Legal Elite" and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. From 1990 until 2001, he co-authored Labor and Employment Law in Georgia (LEXIS Publishing).

He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Law With Honors in 1980. He also holds a Master’s of Science Degree from Purdue University and two Bachelor’s Degrees from The Ohio State University.
